Hi

I have complained about this for a while and have some interesting new evidence. Please can somebody from KC explain this to me.

Mine

these both taken exactly the same time tonight (7:20pm) on Karoo Pro. Why is there such a difference on Stream 1? These taken multiple times, speeds always the same.

Karoo?

I always find it strange, any shaping or contention should give the same bandwidth to all regardless of what you sync at, unless you sync below this when you should get near to your sync speed?  But on those speedtests, it looks like the shaping/contention on the Stream 1 is resulting 50-60% of sync, surely you should get your full 5mbps if the other gets 8mbps.  (And why on karoo pro is it so bad?Huh?)

More technical info here: http://karooforums.net/index.php/topic,929.0.html

To cut a long story short, I believe the difference in speed relates to which route the traffic happens to take. Read the post above for more information.

This so p**ses me off, I too am on Karoo Pro - £29 a month, plus the costs of the line rental - £11 a month, thats a total of £40 a month.

I sync at 15000Kbs.. I live less than a 1/2mile from an exchange and its 9pm.
It comes down to lack of backhaul, simple.
Buy more bandwidth.................................
