If you download less than the limits on the new packages and you can either pay the same or save money, it might be worth changing for the extra (potential) speed increase.

If you download more than the limits on the new packages, its certainly not worth moving as you still effectively can download as much as you like off-peak on Max as per the FUP.

So for example in my case, Karoo Mid at £16.99 gives a 20Gb limit, were as I have Max Option 1 with a limit of 20Gb (peak time - 6pm - midnight). So effectively even though my broadband is potentially quicker on Mid, I will pay extra to download anything over 20Gb. Plus on Max if you break the peak limits your connection is slowed down, meaning you don't have to pay extra again.

So for me, no move as the new packages offer worse value for money for me. Sad

I pay £16.99 per month for the older package and get unlimited downloads. Prior to paying this, I was paying about £25 per month and still got the same download speed.

Anyway. So, in order to get pretty much what I have now, I will have to pay a bit more than double, and I still won't get unlimited downloads. I get "up to" 8mbps now but never even see it, so I have no faith in getting anywhere near the 24 it's advertising.

My point is that, what is the point in "upgrading" to get less service for a hell of a lot more than what the prices used to be? £36 for internet alone is appalling. A friend of mine who has Sky gets broadband, TV and their landline for £60.

This seems like just another way for KC to screw us over.
