I've recently changed my computer and noticed my GB usage has gone up from 1-2GB/month to 7-8GB/month.
Since getting the new PC I've been using Napster(streaming, not downloading), Google Earth, Skype and the BBC iPlayer for the first time, are these to blame?

Napster and iPlayer depending on the level of usage will increase your bandwidth consumption quite easily.

To give you an idea, streaming 60mins of standard quality BBC iPlayer will use around 400mB which is almost half a gB. 60mins of HD will be around 1.3gB.

it's about time karoo increased the 10Gb limit to 30 or 40 in line with other ISp's (who also charge less). The allowance is now totally inadequate.   Only Ten hours of BBC I player per month swallows up 10GB.   Come on Karoo, get real.
i have raised this a couple of times on their feedback form but never get a response.

Totally agree, most ISP's offer a 40GB limit as standard.

My Mam lives in BT land, gets upto 24meg, 40GB limit and free calls all for £20.

I love KC's adverts claiming their cheaper than services that you can't subscribe to in this area.

Don't think there's any doubt that KC need to review the usage allowances and the prices of the products, Spotify also stuttering tonight for some reason  Huh?

Wonder what the next generation access plans are Smiley

yes its time the usage allowance was reviewed, and put up to 30gb  or so. as you do not get a good fast service any more speed is capped/ shaped  so much now!

Snowman it depends how long you have had the comp but a new install will require a fair few windows updates and some of those can be fairly big. If it has been over a period of a few months then disregard this.
