Hi Adrian.
Basically just come to the conclusion that i'm stuck with what i have.. They have done tests on my line and come back with no errors.. So they said it is mearly a difference in line length and the path my line must take that is the difference between the two lines.. They have said that most the lines down my street are 40+db and that my sisters line is rather unique and she's just very lucky..
So i guess a stable 8mb is my limitation.. And i can just about eek out an almost stable 9mb upto about 1am in morning, then usually the SNR is too low and gives way and drops my speed to a lower level...
Shame Karoo/KC wont make Hull the new place to be for internet, it would be easier for them to do so with us being a unique one ISP town.. But i guess Karoo/KC wont change unless something major and something which can make them see lots of profits comes along..
Regards
Michael
ADSL2 the best we'd get would be 4.5mb, and I get 4mb on ADSL... I'd kill for 8mb!!! I feel your pain though, it is a shame but with that said I can't help but hope they will invest in the weaker (broadband) areas of the city at some point.
