Absoloutly no help whatsoever

I have called KC recently following an upsurge in scammers calling our business to order large quantities of goods saying they can collect (from unviable long distances) but wanting to pay by card over the phone. No way!!!
One of these callers became abusive when refused so I called KC for help and enquired about call recording equipment because I cannot expect my staff to have to put up with this sort of behavior. I was passed on to various departments - had to explian the problem about 5 times - spent an hour on the phone just to be told someone would call me back. Never happened of course.
I am now left with the impression that no-one at KC actually knows anything about telephones.

Sounds just like the customer services i have spoken to in the past.
It seems that if something is not on the list of questions and answers they have they will just pass you from pillar to post.
Another example of their inadequacy.
When i moved back to Hull and got a house etc i needed to get a phone in ASAP for work. Now due to being out of the country for a number of years i did not have a credit rating at all. Not a bad rating just no rating.
So they asked me to pay a deposit (fair enough) i said ok i'll get my card.... sorry we cannot take payment over the phone it has to be sent as a cheque.
So i asked could i bring the money in as i need the phone on quickly blah blah.
Yes sir no problem
Gets to KCOM and explain i have come to pay a security deposit...
Sorry sir it has to be a postal order or cheque as we cannot take cash.
Whip to post office for a postal order (no waiting for them to clear) and return.
Oh here you are sir an envelope for you to put it and post!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why the hell did they not say on the phone that it would still be posted i could have done that myself without a trip into town during a busy friday.
They really are exasperating at times. But as they know they have no competition they will not rectify the problem.
Good luck with sorting your recording equipment etc out.
