Looks like it isn't holding the line then, the firmware downloads for your router (for version1 and version 1.1 hardware) are here:
http://www.linksysbycisco.com/UK/en/support/WAG54GS/download

Seems the version numbers are somewhat higher than the one you are using...

To upgrade the firmware you will have to download the firmware, extract it from the zip, connect up the linksys and go to it's configuration page usually http://192.168.1.1
You should find the system menu or something along those lines from what I remember along the top, and there will be options to upgrade the firmware.

Hi mate, updated Firmwire to V1.01.03 and still nothing. Followed the hints from the perious link but still nothing.
in the Status tab on the Linksys device page it shows



and the ADSL light won't stay solid still either. I hate Karoo and their crap equipment. Argh !!!   Huh? Cry

TG585v7 does not have any updates released for the router and there wont be any anymore.

Got the same problem here, speed goes down from 850kbs tp 200 and even 60kbs after 1pm. Can somebody from KC explain?

Guessing your on MAX? The reason for the slow down is that KC are been tight with the ammount of bandwidth they allocate to the MAX packages.
This means theres a higher contention ratio for the bandwidth and as such downloads are slow as more people start to use the net.
