Hi everybody first post, been trolling the forum for years lol.

Same here jwallis,

my speedtest are given me 1.5 on the old package

From the pass 5 days after 6pm , i get Warhammer Online given me the server as closed my connection . I have asked in game CSR about it and they saying it not they end but my connection end. So i am thinking that Karoo is throttling it somewhere.

Yeh I noticed my connection on Karoo Max (8Mbps) is crawling too of late, my Dads connection on ADSL2+ was a dream to use compared to mine. They are really tightening the screws to get people off Karoo Max. They claim its not the case but all evidence suggests otherwise to be quite honest.

I noticed I had a torrent downloading at the weekend and at 6pm it went from 50Kb/s (which is crap) to 0Kb/s it actually stalled completely even though I was connected to about 40 seeds and their was only a few peers downloading. So did some testing and downloaded the same torrent twice, offpeak it was fine but as soon as I tried doing the same torrent after 6pm, same result 0.0Kb/s throughput on the download. LOL. Thats new!

Looks to me as though Max is being switched off slowly but surely. I also noticed that some days I can't even keep a connection to an online game like Eve its that bad.

I wonder where my extra £2.50 will be going from next month? Smiley

At this rate I will be bullied into moving over to ADSL2+, paying more and downloading less because I have no choice and for someone who uses between 10Gb and 50Gb a month I think thats pretty shocking treatment. Sad

It seemed to be worse for me since the Friday trouble where DNS was constantly lost, I wonder if Karoo Max has been put on an even lower priority routing?

Not sure about anyone else, but I realy don't like the way they are going about this. They're giving priority over to the newer packages and seemingly punishing the old loyal customers because they don't like the idea of upgrading to a 'lesser' service.

I'm incredibly frustrated not been able to even do the basic things on the interenet that I could do before, especially during the 6pm-midnight times since thats when most people get home from work...

If they can't provide a service that is advertised to all customers who are signed up then they realy should not be signing any more customers up its as simple as that, if I take the money for 10 pies but only have 5 then mr pie eating man would be angry. Wouldn't want that.

Well its off peak, so would expect your connection to fly off peak as mine does. Do those same tests at 7.30pm and see if you still get the same, although having said that I am not even sure I trust the speed test pages anymore. Smiley

I have had crap like that off and on all the last year, when I do manage to connect at around 11mbs then according to shaper probe I get shaped back down to crap speeds so just cant win with them ,this was after being told nearly a year ago that upgrading to the pro package would solve my issues ,  my pro 1 contract ends next month .
I have airnet on standby just need to set a date for a visit .
