I've spoken to a couple of people recently in different areas who have totally lost telephone service. Is this coincidence or is something up at the minute in KC land?

Has it taken the bb with it?

Mines OK too. Just seemed a bit spooky given the ADSL disconnections reported lately too...

A few friends on facebook reported broadband being down earlier this evening, 5-7pmish.

Not trying to sound smug, though it does sound a bit smug - being on nextgen I didn't notice it, I'm sure the same was the case for Airnet customers.

According to a log (and the fact I had to do a manual re-dial of the internet) I have been experiencing technical hiccups since 5PM - problem is I wasn't in then and I've been asleep for the most part anyway. Admittedly I haven't picked the phone up to check (I'm can't be bothered to go down stairs) but it appears the whole line momentarily switched off a few times.

Could be unrelated though, all sorts of weird stuff like that happens in my house.

Edit: Now I think on it, something like this happened around this time last year, and then the ADSL speeds were incredibly slow for the majority of September, maybe it's some kind of annual cycle for KC?

It must be time for the hamsters to take their annual leave. Low power output until they get back on their wheels  Wink
