why haven't karoo gone down the same route as airnet and nextgen  to provide better coverage
That's what i wonder.

Probably because they don't want to invest any money in it, after all up to now we have had no choice on our ISP so like it or lump it... Angry
Soon they will have to do something to remain competitive or shut up shop altogether... Grin don't wish people to loose jobs but it's only a matter of time for Karoo unless they start looking to improve their service... Roll Eyes

I suppose that every home has a telephone line and the good majority of those homes can get some kind of broadband even if it's pretty slow. It wouldn't be in KC's interest to deliver a really fast speed to everyone because that just places too much demand on the backhaul & network and costs them more money.

Exactly...and it all boils down to no competition...while the rest of the country have ISP's fighting each other for new customers, Karoo just plod along with their outdated technology.. Embarrassed

@Leese

I was actually one of the first people to have the equipment installed by NextGenUs on 22nd July.

But unfortunately tree's inbetween their transmitter and my house scuppered the signal and made it unusable..

Hopefully with Airnet having more transmitters it'll be ok.. But reading everything on here it looks like Airnet are having stock issues, As for NextGenUs.. I was hoping Simon would keep his word and keep me informed, However he has not done so and unfortunately it means i have to look for an alternative..

You've held on, sorry to see you go but I think Airnet is right for you.
