Not sure if anyone's posted this yet. Just seen it myself. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/news/KC-gets-approval-offer-combined-broadband-landline-deals/article-2495038-detail/article.html

Can't wait to hear more about it tomorrow.

In principle sounds good, in practice will we be any better off?

I await with baited breath.

Really, no. You'll pay slightly less but it will be the same packages for internet I expect with the same shaping and lack of decent infrastructure...

To be honest, as I have said before if I could get Eclipse at 50Gb @ £19.95 a month I would probably go for it. Trouble is even with these bundles I dont expect what is now £36.48 / month (£24.99 for 50Gb and £11.49 line rental) to come down by a fiver a month.

Fair enough, you're probably right that's a fair jump down..

adam(can't remember rest of his username) said they'd offered him Mid1 (30GB) and Talk2 for £20 per month, I wonder if they'll offer similar in Hull.

They'll be looking to lock anyone moving onto a bundle, into a 12 month contract again to slowdown people migrating to the likes of Air/NexGen.

Surely they would be cutting their own throats with that? At the moment I will be paying £16.99 and £10.99 a month for my Max Option 1 so that's like £27.98 (rising to £30.98 with the hikes) I can't imagine KCOM would survive if they offered people the price quoted above.

From what I gather it's pretty much guaranteed as they are classed as the SMP for the area, and BT is the SMP nationally and they got approval so...

http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/news/KC-push-Ofcom-allow-phone-web-packages/article-2498071-detail/article.html

Also:

http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/consultations/retail-bundling-in-hull/

Whats odd is that the pricing spreadsheet in Annex 5 appears to be missing all the prices.

http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/binaries/consultations/retail-bundling-in-hull/annexes/annex5.pdf

I guess at the end of the day, fixed line competition in Hull is very unlikely to happen, something Ofcom recognises in the consultation. So the bottom line is, what will we save?

You was correct i was offered mid 1 and kc talk 2 for £20 per month, including a new line from the street to the house free of charge.

i changed the mid 1, to pro 1 due the high levels of downloaded, over 30-40gb a day, most during the night.

*This offer applies to former Sky customers who have been out of contract for 1 year or more***.

I guess this will be shot down and frozen by disgruntled existing customers, but here goes.... Please vote on this deal's merit alone.

Today I received a letter from Sky offering alll 5 Sky Sports channels (1, 2, 3, 4 and News) for free, for a full 12months, should I choose to rejoin them. The terms are as follows:-

*You must be a former customer of Sky who left more than 1 year ago.
*The offer is valid when taken with any existing Sky Package (from £19 per month for basic Sky+ with one pack).

To get this offer you must call Sky Customer Services on 08442 411 378 and quote reference "SPORT3".

The package I have just signed up for is as follows (but you can pick 'n' mix).
Sky+ with Variety pack (Sky 1, Sky 2, Sky 3 etc...) - £19
