Guess I might just pay the extra £2.50 then and hope and pray that a wireless provider can give me a decent service in Brough sometime in the future so I can tell KC where to shove it.

The only other choice is to go on Mid 2 and reduce my usage.

I would also like to say that isn't only going to effect Max users but rather all existing customer's subscribed to packages that pre date the ones that are available now.

It's a very underhand way of going about it isn't it. I asked her if they would be phasing out these old packages altogether and she said not at the moment but they're not investing any money in maintaining them anymore.

In March I used 32GB but since then no more than 18GB so in any given month I can vary between Mid1 - Mid3 but no way am I paying over the odds for uneccesary usage, neither do I want to be limited and end up paying extra each month so perhaps it better to just stay as I am for the time being. I cannot see that I will benefit speed wise by changing. This has really pissed me off big time. No wonder they keep the monopoly round here cos if people had a choice they'd have no customers left

I use over 130GB a month on my existing package and I ain't folking out an extra 10 pounds for a service that delivers nothing in return but rather takes away privileges I already have.

Don't think you can change on the old packages as they are no longer for sale.

Not heard anything about this, so could just be speculation? Would be nice if Karoo posted...
There are also no changes to the price list. However the Pre Max packages (fixed speed) did go up a couple of years ago but only by £1 or so.

I do seem to be the only person who's had notice of this, I live in Beverley though so maybe I'm just one of the first to receive the good news!

As I posted earlier, it's a leaflet about changes to the call packages and there's also a section about the changes to the old internet packages. When I spoke to the call centre assistant she seemed to know all about the changes but did say that today was the first day people had been notified

What changes are they making to the call packages?

I'm currently on KC Talk1 and that's changing to KC Local from 1 September and that's gonna cost an extra 50p a month to my plan and that's basically what it's about.

On the second page it says "We've also noticed you're on one of our older Karoo packages" and the proceeds to inform me of the changes I've already mentioned to the price etc of the older Internet packages

If this this is right, then NextGenUs will become a real option for me.
